Lion's Choice - definitely the king of taste
We have visited Lion's Choice many times over the years... sometimes at Olive & 270, but typically at the original Ballwin location; though the new Ellisville location is also convenient!
We gave our daughter a set of passed to Kor Komplex, the ninja warrior training center in St. Charles. Our daughter burns quite a bit of energy when we visit, so I knew that we should eat something on the way.
We had a birthday coupon from a mailer, so it was a quick decision to visit Lion's Choice for lunch.
I'm a traditionalist for the roast beef, and our daughter ordered her usual - ham and Swiss.
Both were delivered quickly and friendly, as has always been the case.
On the drive, we filled our bellies and had a great afternoon.
Thanks, Lion's Choice! We'll see you soon. -

I've always loved Lions Choice, but recently, at least at this location, the quality has suffered.
The last 3 times I've been in, the roast beef has been over cooked, dried out and chewy, not the usual rare, moist, tender and flavorful it has been (and should be).
I'll give them one more try, then never again. -

The foods fine and consistent but the value is terrible. I paid 1.85 for a medium fry which had 12 fries in the near empty box. I have a picture of what I received it anyone is interested. Plus it looks like the meat is getting skimpier

A St Louis original since 1967 and this is my first time trying Lion's Choice. I'll say this; processed roast beef is really not my thing, but as a former employee of Arby's; Lion's Choice is a little bit better but not by much.
1/5 Original Large Roast Beef: Size was ok but it was noon and my 4oz of roast beef had a lil too much choo- choo action on it for it to be so early. Why is that? Oh I know ask the former Arby's guy... The answer is "heavy heat lamp action" on the slab of beef being sliced. What saved it from being dry was the season action they put on it.
2/5 Regular Fries: They are on the cusp of the only thing good out of Penn Station... their fries!!! However, these taste more frozen than fresh cut ...so I have to take off points
Overall, I probably won't be back but I would recommend it over Arby's... Gotta Support your Local!!! -

Pretty solid food. It is a much better alternative to Arby's, in my opinion, considering the roast beef is less processed and better cook. They have cheap ice cream cones for dessert too, so that's a win.
